Belgrade’s Monument to Major Milan Tepić commemorates a Yugoslav People’s Army officer honoured as a national hero. The bronze monument was unveiled in 2017 on Dedinje, near the entrance to Dr Dragiša Mišović hospital and close to the street named after Tepić. Its location places the memorial within a residential and medical district of southwest Belgrade rather than a central historic square.

Milan Tepić died on 29 September 1991 at Bedenik near Nova Rača, close to Bjelovar, during the conflicts accompanying the breakup of Yugoslavia. According to Serbia’s Ministry of Defence, he refused to surrender a military depot and detonated the ammunition store, sacrificing himself to prevent the weapons from being captured. The Presidency of the SFRY posthumously awarded him the Order of the People’s Hero of Yugoslavia on 19 November 1991.

The monument is a focused memorial for visitors exploring Yugoslav military history, Serbian commemorative culture, and the memory of the 1990s wars. A visit can be combined with a walk around Dedinje, but the site is best understood through its inscription and historical context rather than as a large museum complex.
