The museum is not readily accessible by public transportation. Most visitors arrive by private vehicle, hired songthaew, or organised tour. From Chiang Mai, board the white minibus for San Kamphaeng at Warorot Market (Kad Luang) and ask for MAIIAM or the mirror-walled building on Sankampang Road; return minibuses can be boarded in front of the museum. Red public taxis can drop passengers at MAIIAM on Old Sankampang Road, about 1.5 km beyond Bo Sang Intersection. By car, follow Road 1006 toward San Kamphaeng; the museum is on the right after Bo Sang Intersection.
