Season and crowds

On 2 September 2026, İzmir Archaeological Museum follows its summer timetable and is open every day from 08:30 to 19:00. The ticket desk closes at 18:30, so the final half-hour is not a safe arrival window for visitors who still need admission. The winter period runs from 1 October to 1 May, when the museum is open daily from 08:30 to 17:30 and the ticket desk closes at 17:00. Arriving near opening usually gives you quieter galleries. Getting there
