Getting there

From Doha, travel about 60 km north on Al Shamal Highway, take Exit 66, turn right, then left at the intersection and continue about 3 km to the fenced site; the final approach is on foot. Qatar Tourism names Karwa taxi, limousine and rental car as arrival options for remote attractions and advises using a 4x4 for Al Jassasiya because of sand and rocks. Al Jassasiya is located on Qatar's northeast coast, approximately one hour's drive from central Doha. The site is remote and requires private vehicle transportation. No public transit serves this location directly. Roads in the area are paved but the final approach may involve desert tracks. GPS navigation is advisable as signage is limited. Car rental or hired driver with four-wheel-drive capability is recommended given the terrain. The journey passes through industrial and coastal areas north of Doha.
