About Mahari

Mahari is a new Hyde Park restaurant started by chef Rahim Muhammad and his mother, Shawn Muhammad. It opened with a Jan. 17, 2025 ribbon-cutting in Hyde Park Shopping Center. The menu follows routes of the African diaspora through African, Caribbean, Creole, Afro-Latina, and soul-food traditions, with lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.
