Gençlik Parkı is a large municipal urban park in Ankara’s Ulus neighbourhood, between Ankara railway station and the Opera buildings. Ankara Metropolitan Municipality operates it, and the park opened on 19 May 1943. Its approximately 275,000 square metres combine lawns, walking routes, water, entertainment and cultural uses in one central public space. It is a practical stop during an Ulus sightseeing day, but also works as a destination for families, local recreation and visitors wanting a substantial green pause near the city centre.
