元朗劇院 Yuen Long Theatre

Yuen Long Theatre is a public performing-arts venue on Yuen Long Tai Yuk Road in Hong Kong’s New Territories. It opened in May 2000 and is situated beside Yuen Long Park, Yuen Long Stadium and the public swimming pool. The Leisure and Cultural Services Department describes it as a centre for arts in the northwest New Territories.
The venue includes a 923-seat auditorium, a 180-square-metre dance studio, a 192-square-metre rehearsal room, a 117-square-metre lecture room, a 136-square-metre function room and a 120-square-metre foyer exhibition area. Its programme and venue facilities support dance, music, theatre, Chinese opera, exhibitions, lectures and other performing-arts activities. The foyer contains a bamboo courtyard, while the auditorium is designed for staged performances and cultural programmes. Visitors should check the official programme or contact the theatre before travelling, because access and admission depend on the scheduled event.
