Alakilise is an Early Byzantine basilica in the Belören area, preserved as part of the wooded Lycian Way landscape. The responsible public body dates the church to the 5th–6th centuries. The visit is about reading an ancient church in place, rather than entering a restored interior or a conventional museum. Approximately 1 kilometre southeast, two rock-cut chapels add a nearby satellite element. One chapel measures about 9 by 5 metres, while the other is about 11.15 by 4.90 metres, giving visitors specific dimensions to look for on the wider walk.
