Akropol is the walled upper settlement within Pedasa, a Lelegian archaeological site in the wooded hills north of Bodrum. Its identity is defined by defensive walls and its position above the wider settlement, not by a reconstructed building or indoor exhibition. Pedasa was founded in the 12th or 11th century BCE, according to the official Culture Portal, and the surviving landscape is about 3,000 years old. Visiting Akropol means reading ancient occupation through stonework, slopes and clearings while understanding how the upper settlement related to the sanctuary, cemetery and working areas around it.

The Muğla Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism places Pedasa about 6 kilometres north of Bodrum town centre and about 2 kilometres from Konacık. Its official arrival information says that the Athena Sanctuary can be reached by car, while the listed address is Torba, 48400 Bodrum/Muğla. That car-access statement concerns the sanctuary approach; it does not establish a paved route to every ruin. Expect the archaeological visit itself to involve walking through the hills and between separated remains.
