نبذة عن Wijnkopersgildehuis
Wijnkopersgildehuis is a rare surviving Amsterdam guild house at Koestraat 10–12, close to the Nieuwmarkt. Three earlier houses were combined behind a new triple-gabled frontage in 1611, and the wine merchants' guild acquired the property in 1630. City architect Pieter de Keyser directed the guild conversion, including the stone entrance installed in 1633. The doorway's pediment shows Saint Urban, patron saint of winegrowers. The building later became closely connected with Vereniging Hendrick de Keyser: wine merchant Jacobus Th. Boelen bought number 10 in 1917 and number 12 in 1918, and the restoration project helped inspire the preservation association's foundation.

ماذا يوجد بالداخل
The historic arrangement separates the guild premises at number 10 from the independent house at number 12. The guild side placed a meeting room toward the street, a larger guild hall in the rear wing, and substantial cellars below for the wine trade. Surviving beam structures remain in the passage and guild hall, while a short stone stair links the circulation spaces. Carved and built details carry the trade's identity: vine ornament appears on an eighteenth-century door, and inset gable stones depict a cooper, a wine merchant with a customer, and a salamander surrounded by flames. These interiors are documented historic fabric, not a currently advertised museum display.

المدة المقترحة للزيارة
Allow about 15 to 25 minutes for an exterior-focused stop on Koestraat. That is enough time to read the three neck gables, the sandstone blocks above the openings, and Pieter de Keyser's 1633 gate without blocking the narrow street. Interior visit duration is Not recorded because the owner's property page does not advertise regular public entry. If access is offered through a separately announced heritage event, plan that visit from the event's own instructions rather than treating this estimate as an interior tour time.

الموسم والحشود
Visit during daylight, when the relief around the entrance and the profile of all three gables can be read from the opposite side of Koestraat. A regular public opening schedule is Not recorded on the owner's building page, so there is no supported best weekday or admission window for the interior. The site works most reliably as a short architectural stop while walking between Nieuwmarkt and the older streets around the former Bethaniënklooster grounds. Check the owner's page before travel if interior access is essential.

التذاكر
No standard admission ticket or public interior tour is recorded for Wijnkopersgildehuis. Vereniging Hendrick de Keyser describes the building as one of its preserved houses and recounts its residential and rental history, but the property page does not publish a visitor tariff. Viewing the exterior from Koestraat requires no museum transaction. Do not assume that the historic guild hall is open merely because its architecture is documented; use only a specific event or access notice issued by the owner if one appears.

الوصول إلى هناك
The building stands at Koestraat 10–12 in Amsterdam's old centre, a short walk from Nieuwmarkt. Approach on foot and look for the broad double property with three adjoining neck gables rather than a large museum sign. The carved stone gate at number 10 is the clearest identifying feature. Koestraat is compact and best incorporated into a walking route through the Nieuwmarkt quarter; bicycle parking, step-free interior access, and a dedicated visitor entrance are Not recorded on the owner's property page.

ما يجب الحذر منه
Treat Wijnkopersgildehuis as a protected historic residence, not as a walk-in museum. Do not enter a doorway, courtyard, or internal passage without an explicit access notice. The most important detail is easy to misread: the figure above Pieter de Keyser's gate is Saint Urban, who replaced an earlier image of Bacchus. Keep the narrow pavement clear while examining it, and avoid attributing every inset gable stone to the wine guild itself; several stones were moved here from other Amsterdam addresses during the building's later history.

التصوير الفوتوغرافي
The strongest exterior photograph includes the full three-gable rhythm and the stone gate at number 10, then a closer frame can isolate Saint Urban in the pediment. Daylight helps distinguish the sandstone blocks from the brick frontage. Photography rules for the interior are Not recorded because routine public access is not advertised. Work from the public street, avoid photographing through residential windows, and keep tripods out of the narrow pedestrian line. The facade's symmetry is easier to show from a slightly oblique angle than from directly beneath it.
